Bryan University offers full services through the Student and Alumni Outreach department, including assistance with study issues, career development, and job placement. These services are offered to all graduates as a lifetime service throughout their careers.
Accreditation
Bryan University is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education, and is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) through the end of 2018 to award diplomas, academic associate degrees, occupational associate degrees, bachelor degrees, post-graduation certificates, and masters degrees.
On December 12, 2016, the Department of Education ceased to recognize the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). Bryan University has 18 months from the date of this decision to find a new accrediting agency to maintain eligibility to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs. Bryan University is currently seeking accreditation with the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and is in-process with its application.
History 1940-2004
Bryan College was established in 1940 by Dr. Mildred T. Bryan. Dr. Bryan welcomed her first three students into her living room, which served as the initial classroom for the institution, originally named Bryan Stenotype School.
History 2005-2011
In 2005, under the parent company Alta Education, LLC, Bryan extended its reach by opening a campus in Sacramento, CA. With this new campus, Bryan College introduced additional degree programs.
History 2012-Present
Near the end of 2011, Bryan College gained University status through the Department of Education, allowing it to offer bachelor's and master's degree programs.
